Legal Awareness, Youth Empowerment & Community Programs — Saptashrungi Bahuuddeshiya Mahila Sanstha, Dhule

Since its inception, Saptashrungi Bahuuddeshiya Mahila Sanstha, Dhule has been actively working to guide, empower, and support the youth of Dhule district through legal awareness programs, career guidance, cultural activities, and health-focused initiatives. These programs aim to build a confident, skilled, and socially responsible generation.

1. Legal Awareness — “Law for You” Program

Since 2006, in collaboration with the Superintendent of Police Office, Dhule, the organization has been conducting a special awareness program “Law for You” in almost every college of Dhule district. Through this initiative, 21,819 college students (youths and girls) have been guided and made aware of their legal rights and responsibilities.

2. Youth Guidance & Support

  • Organized free career guidance camps in collaboration with various departments.
  • Formed self-help groups (SHGs) for unemployed educated youth and facilitated access to loans.
  • Created awareness about government schemes available for youth.
  • Provided free vocational training for skill development.
  • Conducted de-addiction camps to protect youth from harmful addictions.
  • Organized blood donation camps for social welfare.

The “Law for You” program was successfully implemented in Dhule district colleges without government funds, fully supported by the Superintendent of Police Office, benefitting over 10,000 students.

3. Cultural, Sports & Youth Activities

  • Represented Maharashtra’s folk traditions at a cultural program in Haridwar, sending a 12-member troupe through Nehru Yuva Kendra, Dhule.
  • Actively participated in district and divisional Youth Festivals, providing platforms for local talent.
  • Organized cultural programs in Islapur village, Gurugram (Haryana), showcasing Maharashtra’s culture.
  • Conducted dance competitions to encourage participation of young boys and girls.
  • Led awareness campaigns in rural areas, including the Tantamukti Abhiyan (conflict resolution campaign).

4. De-Addiction & Awareness Programs

In collaboration with Salaam Mumbai Foundation, a special Tobacco Control Program was launched in 2015. The initiative aimed to develop life skills in children, guiding them to make the right decisions in health, education, and livelihood, while also promoting personal and financial empowerment.

As part of the Tobacco Eradication Campaign, 25 schools in Dhule district were declared Tobacco-Free Schools, with a detailed report submitted to Salaam Mumbai Foundation.
